This Is Why I Coach Adults Over 50
When I turned 50, I realised that getting older was not the problem. The real challenge was maintaining strength, muscle and health while most people around me were accepting decline as inevitable. I decided to prove that ageing does not have to mean becoming weak, overweight or dependent on medication.
Like many people, there was a time when I was carrying excess weight, lacked structure in my training and wasn't getting the results I wanted.
In 2016, I weighed approximately 90 kilograms. Despite being active for most of my life, I knew I wasn't in the shape I wanted to be in and more importantly, I wasn't setting myself up for healthy ageing.
Instead of looking for shortcuts, I committed to learning everything I could about strength training, nutrition, recovery and sustainable fat loss.
Over the years I transformed not only my body, but also my understanding of what it takes to stay strong, lean and healthy after 50.
